Liquid cooled technology

ARCOL has designed a new configuration of product to meet the exacting requirements of high voltage, high frequency and high power demanded by next generation induction heating products. It is currently being tested by equipment manufacturers as far afield as Sweden, Japan and India.

While single industry applications tend to utilise the best characteristics of a particular technology (making the less desirable parameters least apparent in the end application), a new generation of equipment has shifted the focus. The emphasis is now on reducing size and assembly labour, and meeting three critical levels of performance normally spread across a range of technologies and formats.

This new area requires the pulse capability of a wirewound product, the low series inductance of thick film or composition products, and the ability to operate and withstand higher voltage levels.

By use of innovative and integrated cooling, ARCOL has developed a product that can be mounted and connected quickly. It has a good balance of power (600+W), Low inductance (<50nHenries) and higher operating voltages (to 4.0kV). It also provides for resistance values across the range 1.0 Ohm to 2.0 MegOhms.
